Preparing for a Basic Seminar

BASIC SEMINAR

Prior to the seminar, read:

• the Introduction and pages 1 –  68 in Spell to Write and Read
• the Introduction of Wise Guide, pages i through vii
• read as much of Step 12 as possible, pages 69-89
• study the materials in the Phonogram Card pack
• if time, review the Spelling Rules materials

As you read, take notes and list any questions you have.  You are not expected to master these materials — that will take time — but the more familiar you are with them, the more you will get out of the seminar.

Spend some time with the Phonogram CD as you look through your Phonogram Cards.  Practice looking at them, reading the back of them, and pronouncing them.  Learn as many as you can.
